The R Cinquantotto lives by its large, calm surfaces. That is exactly why every scratch on this machine stands out, and immediately. The side panel is the largest of these surfaces: a sheet of metal that covers the interior with the boiler, pipes and electrics and closes off the machine at the side.
It has no load-bearing role – that is what the chassis is for. It protects, and it shapes the look. This item is the right side panel in black, part number A01B906927.
When it is due
The panel is replaced based on its condition, not its age:
- Scratches or chipped paint that can no longer be concealed
- a dent or warping after an impact or transport
- a panel that no longer sits flush after a service job or sticks out at one corner
- torn-out mounting points
- traces of corrosion on the bottom edge

Important for installation
Behind the side panel are the boiler, hot pipes and live parts. Switch the machine off, unplug it and let it cool down completely – only then open it. We deliberately do not describe a step-by-step removal here; if you are not familiar with the inside of the machine, have the replacement done by a qualified technician.

With black machines, we always place removed panels on a cloth, never directly on the workbench – and when reassembling, we fit them by hand before a single screw is tightened. This is not a manufacturer requirement, but the lesson from plenty of paint damage that happened not during use, but during repair.
Once the machine is back in place, a test shot is part of the job. We use the Nutty Delight as an honest benchmark, the Cozy Chocolate as the mild option and the Very Nutty, when you want it strong. You will find them all under our coffee beans.

What is the difference from number A019906927?
The two numbers differ only in the fourth and fifth characters – at Rocket, these positions usually indicate a finish variant of the same base number. The documentation does not say exactly which side and which finish A019906927 refers to. We list both as separate items. If you are unsure, send us your machine's serial number.
Are screws included?
No. The side panel is supplied on its own.
Is this an electrical part?
No. It is a pure sheet-metal part with no electrical function. However, it covers an area carrying mains voltage, hence the installation note.
