La Marzocco Linea Micra Wood Mid-Section by Specht Design

A strip of wood changes the whole kitchen: the Specht Mid-Section wraps magnetically around your Linea Micra – warm walnut, mounted in seconds.

The Micra stands there, compact and precise as always – yet your eye lingers. Where a smooth panel used to be, a grain now runs across it, catching the light differently. Touching it, the wood feels warm. Even before the machine starts heating up.

    A-grade walnut

American walnut brings dark, warm depth to the counter – calm and rich. Specht Design crafts every Mid-Section from ethically sourced, A-grade wood and finishes the surface by hand with organic waxes and oils. No two pieces are identical – your Micra carries a one-of-a-kind piece.

    Why material changes enjoyment

What we see and touch measurably changes how we taste. The limbic system links feel, memory and aroma into a single experience – enjoyment begins before the first sip. A Mid-Section doesn't objectively make your espresso better. But it changes the moment in which it's made. And that's exactly the moment that counts.

No one needs wood on the machine. Wanting it is enough – or not, and both are valid. Whoever wants it knows why. Our opinion is one of many anyway.

    Installation without tools

The Mid-Section slides over the housing panel of your Linea Micra from our La Marzocco Collection and holds with integrated magnets. No screws, no glue, no changes to the machine – and removable anytime without leaving a trace.

    Who the Mid-Section is for

For anyone who wants to make their Linea Micra a personal piece. It doesn't matter whether the machine has been running for years or just moved in – if the thought of wood on the counter makes you happy, you're in the right place. Every counter can look exactly the way you want it to.

    Matching companions for your setup

Precise tools suit the new look. For anyone who wants a scale that's affordable and reliable: the compact scales from the Normcore Collection. If you want app connectivity and a flow rate display: the scales from our Acaia Collection.

And for tamping, our Tamper Collection has both – the spring-loaded Normcore for the precise everyday, and the Weber Workshops tampers for the ritual.

    Frequently asked questions

Does the Mid-Section fit every Linea Micra?

Yes – it is made exactly for the La Marzocco Linea Micra. It slides over the housing panel and holds with integrated magnets, with no modifications to the machine at all.

    How is the Mid-Section attached?

With integrated magnets – no tools, no screws, no glue. Installation takes just a few seconds, and it can be removed at any time without leaving a trace.

Where can I buy the Specht Design Mid-Section in Switzerland?

Directly online with us at coffeecoachingclub.ch – we deliver in 2–4 business days across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein.

How do I care for the wood?

The surface is finished with organic waxes and oils. In everyday use, a dry or slightly damp cloth is enough – that way the walnut keeps its warm, silky feel for years.

Can I see the product before buying?

Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.

    Roastery tip

Wood on the counter, depth in the cup: Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight bring dense body with notes of chocolate, caramel and nut. For anyone who wants maximum body with no acidity at all: Very Nutty. And for the curious, a fruity discovery awaits with Wild Peach — that's our recommendation, one of many.
