As you pour, the finely etched stainless steel filter holds the leaves back, and the stream stays clean and controlled. The AURA Teapot brings the same calm design language to the table as the AURA kettles.

What makes the teapot special
The pot is made from 304 stainless steel, which conducts and holds heat well. The integrated, photo-etched stainless steel filter delivers fine filtration, so even smaller tea leaves are held back. The precision spout allows an even, controlled pour, and the ergonomic handle echoes the design of the Varia kettles. A non-slip silicone base gives the pot a secure footing on any surface. At 1.0 litre, it's enough for several cups.
For clarity: the AURA Teapot is a serving and steeping pot, not an electric kettle – you heat the water separately, for example with the AURA Smart Kettle, and pour it over the tea leaves in the pot.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AURA Teapot a kettle?
No. It's a serving and steeping pot made of stainless steel with an integrated filter – you heat the water separately, for example with the AURA Smart Kettle.
Does the filter hold back fine tea leaves too?
The photo-etched stainless steel filter is fine enough to hold back even smaller leaves for the most part. Very fine tea or powder may partially pass through depending on the variety.
How many cups does the pot hold?
At 1.0 litre, it's enough for several cups – good for two to four people, depending on cup size.
Can I see the teapot before buying?
In the showrooms in Bern and Zürich we carry Varia products. Get in touch beforehand so the pot is on site.
Roastery tip
Tea responds to water temperature just as sensitively as coffee: green tea likes around 70 °C, white tea 75 to 80 °C, black tea can take more. If you dial in the water temperature precisely with an AURA kettle and then pour it in the teapot, you'll taste the difference. That's our recommendation, one of many.
