Torre Espresso Machines – Handmade in Milan, Available in Switzerland

Torre represents what happens when an engineer with over 20 years of experience at Bezzera goes his own way. Founder Andrea Ferrari handcrafts portafilter machines in Travacò Siccomario, south of Milan – from PID-controlled single boilers to dual boilers with touch displays and rotary pumps. The result: machines that perceptibly stand out from the crowd in terms of material, craftsmanship, and haptics.

You'll immediately notice what distinguishes Torre from other E61 manufacturers: The ERGOLIFT brewing lever is Torre's signature element – an ergonomic reinterpretation of the classic E61 lever that starts the brewing process without you having to move your cup or spout. Additionally, there are stainless steel frames, real walnut wood handles, and a manufacturing depth that you can see and feel.

What makes Torre a unique brand

Torre is not a large corporation. Each machine is manufactured in a small workshop. Andrea Ferrari started at Bezzera as a developer, rose to head the R&D department, and founded Torre in 2020 with a clear vision: to transfer all the knowledge from two decades into his own products with his own standards. All Torre machines come with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.

This is evident in details such as insulated boilers, PID temperature control with precise degree settings, and the consistent use of rotary pumps in the larger models – quieter in operation and ready for a fixed water connection.

Who are Torre Espresso Machines for?

Torre is aimed at home baristas looking for a handcrafted E61 machine from Italy who value material quality, haptics, and well-thought-out details. If stainless steel frames, real wood handles, and the ERGOLIFT lever appeal to you – and if you want a machine that not everyone has – then Torre is an interesting choice.

The Pierino is the compact entry-level model with PID control – ideal if you mainly drink espresso and accept a heat-up time of around 15 minutes. The heat exchangers (Luigino, Luigino TSP, Teresina RS) are suitable for cappuccino drinkers who want to brew and steam simultaneously – heat-up time around 20 minutes. The dual boilers (Mariuccia, Peppina, Peppina EVO) offer independent temperature control for both boilers – ideal if you extract different roasts with different brewing temperatures.

Torre and the E61 Brew Group

All Torre machines use the proven E61 brew group with a thermosyphonic circuit. This means that a large thermal mass of metal ensures stable brewing temperatures. If you prefer classic, strong espresso with dense crema and a chocolatey body, the E61 is the right choice. For a detailed classification of E61 technology compared to saturated brew groups and hybrid systems, we recommend our Technology Check: Brew Groups Compared.

Buy Torre Espresso Machines in Switzerland

At the Coffee Coaching Club, you can buy Torre espresso machines in Switzerland – online in the webshop or in person at our showrooms in Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) and Bern (Gerberngasse 44). We advise you as a coffee roastery – not just as a dealer. We know extraction chemistry and together we will find the machine that suits your workflow.

We also provide service for Torre and Bezzera machines – contact us for a quote.

Delivery throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein within 2–4 working days. Click & Collect is available at both showrooms. Financing via Heylight is available. With the purchase of a machine from CHF 1500, you will receive a free 60-minute private barista course in Bern, Zurich, or online.

Combine your Torre with the right grinder

A Torre deserves a grinder of equal caliber. For the Pierino or Luigino, we recommend the Varia VS3 or VS4 – precise single-dose grinders with minimal retention. For the dual boiler models, it's worth looking at the Eureka Atom W 65 or, if you're looking for the endgame, the Weber Workshops EG-1.

We also recommend IMS precision baskets and E&B shower screens for more even extraction.

Frequently Asked Questions about Torre Espresso Machines

Where are Torre machines made?

Handcrafted in Travacò Siccomario, a small municipality south of Milan. Founder Andrea Ferrari brings over 20 years of development experience from Bezzera.

Can I see a Torre espresso machine before buying?

Contact us to check availability in our showrooms in Zurich and Bern. Not all models and color variants are permanently on site – we can arrange them for you within 1–3 days.

What distinguishes Torre from ECM or Rocket?

Torre focuses on uncompromising material selection (stainless steel frame, AISI 316 boilers for dual boilers, real wood handles) and the ERGOLIFT brewing lever. Added to this is the character of a manufactory – small quantities, high vertical integration, 3 years manufacturer's warranty.

Do you offer service for Torre machines?

Yes. We carry out maintenance and repairs for Torre and Bezzera machines. Contact us for a quote.

What difference does the rotary pump make?

The rotary pump (from Luigino TSP upwards) is significantly quieter than a vibratory pump and allows connection to a fixed water supply. For pure tank operation, both pump types work reliably.

Roastery Tip

The E61 brew group of Torre machines fully exploits its potential with medium to dark roasts: the large thermal mass creates a dense, chocolatey body with a velvety texture. From our roastery, we recommend Cozy Chocolate for chocolatey depth or Nutty Delight for nutty sweetness. Both roasts harmonize excellently with the warm, full-bodied character of an E61 machine.
