Torre Mariuccia – Dual Boiler Espresso Machine with PID and Rotary Pump
The brewing temperature is precise to the degree, and the steam waits in its own boiler: you pull a shot and froth milk without one slowing down the other – two separate circuits, each with its own job.
The Torre Mariuccia is a dual boiler portafilter espresso machine, handcrafted south of Milan. Two separate stainless steel boilers, PID control on the brew boiler and a rotary pump make it a precise, calm machine for the counter.
Two boilers, PID-precise
The coffee boiler in AISI 316 stainless steel holds 0.75 litres and is regulated by PID between 80 and 100 °C – the brewing temperature stays constant to the degree. The steam and hot water boiler holds 1.4 litres and is controlled via a pressure switch, with an eco shut-off to save energy. This lets espresso and milk foam happen at the same time, without temperature swings.
E61, ERGOLIFT and control
The E61 group with thermosiphon circulation and the smooth ERGOLIFT lever provide stable, comfortable shots. A chrono function shows the brew time, two pressure gauges show boiler and pump pressure, and the electronic water level keeps an eye on the fill level. Steam and hot water run through joystick taps with cool-touch wands. In the end, what matters with espresso is that it tastes good to you – grind size, dose and ratio are the adjustment points, with 1:2 a good start.
We work alongside Torre as a partner. Our opinion is one of many.

What goes with it
A machine is only as good as what's freshly ground next to it. Fresh grinding happens with our coffee grinders – affordable and precise from the Varia range, finely engineered with the Weber Workshops EG-1. For dose and ratio, a scale: compact from the Normcore range or with an app from the Acaia collection. For even tamping there's a Tamper. Not sure about the combination? Our machine and grinder consultation can help.
Frequently asked questions
What's the advantage of two boilers?
Brewing and steaming run separately and at the same time. The brewing temperature stays constant via PID, while the dedicated steam boiler delivers the foam.
How precisely can the temperature be set?
The coffee boiler is regulated by PID between 80 and 100 °C – finely tuned for both light and dark roasts.
Can I connect it to the mains water?
Yes. The rotary pump runs from a tank or a direct water connection.
Which grinder suits the Mariuccia?
An espresso grinder with fine adjustment. Affordable, the Varia range; for more grind pattern control, the Weber Workshops EG-1 – both in our coffee grinders.
Can I see the Mariuccia before buying?
Of course. In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zürich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) you can experience it in person. Delivery throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2 to 4 working days.
Roastery tip
Fresh coffee makes the difference. Full-bodied and chocolatey with Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. For maximum body without acidity, the Very Nutty, for a brighter, fruity profile, the Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
