La Marzocco diffuser gasket – Linea Micra and Linea Mini R
The diffuser sits in the group head and slows down the incoming water before it reaches the shower screen. Without it, a hard jet would hit the middle of the puck. To do its job, it has to sit tightly in the group head – and that is what this small gasket takes care of.
If it hardens, the diffuser gets play and some of the water takes the route past the edge. You can see the result in a bottomless portafilter: a stream that comes from one side, and extractions that are no longer reproducible.
When it is due
When the diffuser falls out loose during removal instead of having to be released. When the gasket is hard, shiny or torn. And always together with the group gasket – if you have the group head open anyway, replacing it at the same time costs nothing but this part.

Tip from our café
We fit the gasket dry, never with washing-up liquid as a lubricant. Detergent residue comes through clearly in the first espresso afterwards, and nobody looks for the fault in this spot. A little warm water is perfectly sufficient. This is our workshop routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer requirement. For dialling in afterwards we use Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate for chocolatey notes and Very Nutty for maximum body. All roasts under Coffee beans.

Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine.
