La Marzocco Group Gasket for Linea Mini R and Linea Micra
The La Marzocco group gasket H.3.018 for the Linea Micra and the Linea Mini R. Original spare part, available in Bern and Zurich.
It sits in the brew group between the group head and the portafilter. The portafilter is locked in against it, and it seals the group during extraction. Heat and pressure harden the material over time.
When it is time to replace it
Typical signs: water escapes at the side of the portafilter during extraction, the portafilter has to be turned further and further to seal, or the gasket is visibly hard, cracked or compressed.
It also shows in the cup: if the espresso suddenly tastes thinner with the same dose and the same grind setting, it is worth checking the gasket. For extraction, the weight ratio counts, not the time. For espresso, 1:2 is a good starting point.

Fit: Linea Micra and Linea Mini R
La Marzocco lists H.3.018 in the Linea Micra parts catalogue as Group Gasket Reduced Force. In the official La Marzocco shop for Italy, the same part number is offered as the group gasket for the Linea Mini R. The Linea Mini R parts catalogue (version 1.0), however, lists the gaskets H.3.004 (standard) and H.3.007 (silicone).
For the older Linea Mini, the parts catalogue lists H.3.004 and H.3.007, not H.3.018. Before ordering, send us the model and serial number at [email protected] and we will check the fit for your machine.
Important for installation
The gasket sits in an area that is hot and under pressure during operation. Before any work on it, the machine is switched off, unplugged and allowed to cool down completely.
We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions here. The old gasket is often stuck. If the groove is damaged while removing it, the new gasket will not seal either. If you are unsure, leave the replacement to a qualified technician.
