The housing is the outer shell of the Linea Mini: the surfaces you see, touch and clean. Technically it holds nothing together as far as the coffee is concerned – it holds the overall impression. If you are refurbishing a Mini, a new housing gives you the biggest visible leap in one go.
What wears down an old housing is rarely a defect, but the sum of the years: faded or yellowed surfaces, scratches from rings and watches, dents from the milk jug, and spots on the edges where the coating has worn through. With white, there is also the fact that coffee oils soak in while warm and can no longer be washed out completely.
Replace the housing when the surfaces are permanently yellowed or stained. When scratches and dents dominate the appearance. When the coating is coming off at the edges. When a panel is warped and the parts no longer close flush. And when you are completely refurbishing a used Mini and renewing everything inside anyway.

To change the housing, the machine is largely exposed. Underneath are boilers, pressurised lines and components connected to mains voltage. For this reason we do not provide step-by-step instructions and recommend installation by a specialist – also because a new housing quickly picks up its first scratches when reassembled by inexperienced hands.
For anyone who has taken over a used Linea Mini and wants it to look like new again – and for anyone who would rather have a white machine in their kitchen than the existing colour.
In chrome, there is the chrome housing for the Linea Mini R. It goes well with the Linea Mini drip tray, the cup warmer cover plate and the logo in white as a colour-matched trim piece. All Mini parts under La Marzocco Linea Mini spare parts, the rest of the range in the section Service parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer specification: we always fit a new housing last, with a small felt cloth placed under every tool. And before dismantling, we take photos of every screw position – on the Mini some screws look the same but differ in length, and a screw that is too long in the wrong hole pushes a dent into the fresh panel from the inside. Once everything is in place, the first shot runs – ideally with the Nutty Delight, more chocolatey with the Cozy Chocolate, bold with the Very Nutty. Everything under Coffee beans.
Return excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
The Mini R has its own housing number. This part has the number C.1.189.62. Send us the serial number and we will tell you which housing belongs to your machine.
The housing. Drip tray, logo, cup tray and fixing parts are separate items.
Yes, if the finish matches your year of manufacture. Bear in mind that visible parts such as the drip tray and logo should then match in colour too.
This involves largely dismantling the machine. We recommend installation by a specialist and do not provide installation instructions.
Yes. In Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Let us know beforehand and we will have it ready for you.
