The housing base is the lower frame of the Linea Micra. The chassis sits on it, the feet are attached to it, and it is the edge that rests on the worktop. It carries the weight of the machine and makes sure it doesn't wobble when you lock in the portafilter with some force.
That is exactly why it takes the most punishment: standing water under the drip tray, cleaning agent running over the edge, and the knock when lifting, when someone grabs the machine by the base instead of the housing.
A new base is due when the machine wobbles even though the feet are adjusted, when the frame is warped or dented at a corner, when signs of corrosion appear on the lower edge, or when a foot thread is stripped and a foot can no longer be tightened properly.

The base can only be replaced if the machine is taken apart and the internals are detached from the frame – that is, boiler, lines and electrics. Beforehand, disconnect it from the mains, let it cool down and depressurise. We deliberately don't give step-by-step instructions here; this belongs in the workshop.
For workshops and service technicians who want to put a Micra back level on the worktop after a fall or after years of operation in a humid environment.
Matching parts are the Foot 28 x 16 mm M4 for Linea Micra, the Chrome housing for Linea Micra and the Front housing frame Linea Micra. Everything else under La Marzocco Linea Micra spare parts and Original spare parts.
Before we order a base in Bern or Zurich, we place the machine on a level surface and use a sheet of paper to check which foot is hanging in the air. Very often the frame isn't warped at all; just one foot is loose or the worktop is uneven. This is our routine, not a manufacturer specification. Once the machine stands properly again, we run it in with Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate for chocolatey notes and Very Nutty for body. All roasts under Coffee beans.
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. Only the base is supplied. You order the feet separately.
Usually not. First check whether a foot is loose or the worktop is uneven. Only if the frame is visibly warped will a new base help.
No. This base is for the Linea Micra.
The machine has to be taken apart for this. We recommend a qualified professional.
Yes, you can see it in person in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b).
