The clean cap over the paddle group of your GS3
On the GS3 MP, the group cover sits right where your hand and eyes go first when brewing. It closes off the brew group at the top and guides your view to the paddle. This part has the part number F.1.079.
It wears out because of its surroundings: steam from below, cleaning agents from above, coffee oil around the edges. Eventually the surface turns dull, the edges fade or a mount breaks off, so the cover no longer sits properly.
When it is due
The cover wobbles or jams when you put it on. A catch or a screw hole has broken out. The surface is cracked, yellowed or can no longer be wiped clean. Or there are traces of an earlier disassembly that get in the way every time you clean.

Who it is for
For anyone with a GS3 MP whose technology is fine and where only the visible part needs replacing. A fresh cover costs little and noticeably lifts the overall look of the machine.
What goes with it
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich: On the GS3 we take off the group cover once a week and wipe out the seat underneath – our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. Coffee grounds build up there that you cannot see from the outside and that widen the catches over time. Afterwards, the test cup with Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty from our coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Does the cover also fit the GS3 AV?
We cannot say that across the board. F.1.079 is intended for the MP version – send us the serial number and we will check.
Is the ring for the group cover included?
No, only the cover is supplied. We carry the ring as a separate part – just ask us.
Can I replace the cover myself?
Usually yes, it is not a pressure-bearing part. Still, let the machine cool down and disconnect it from the mains.
Why is my cover turning yellow?
Usually a combination of heat and aggressive cleaning agents. Dosing more sparingly and wiping thoroughly afterwards helps the next cover considerably.
Can I look at the part in your showroom?
Yes, in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b.
