The ring that guides the paddle
In the paddle group of the GS3 MP, several small parts work together so that the lever moves smoothly and with consistent resistance. The perforated spacer ring is one of them: it keeps the components in the valve body at the right distance and lets water pass through its bore.
If the ring is worn out or scaled up, the paddle develops play, the pressure point shifts or the lever no longer pulls through cleanly. Part number B.2.014.03 refers to the ring in the 9,3 x 12 x 4 mm version.
When it is due
- The paddle has play or feels spongy.
- The pressure point when pulling is no longer where it used to be.
- After an overhaul of the group, the old ring is missing or breaks.
- Grooves, deformation from compression or limescale crusts are visible on the removed ring.

Who it is for
For workshops and experienced GS3 MP owners who want to overhaul the paddle group and replace all wear parts in one go.
Important for installation
The ring sits in a pressurised assembly. The machine must be switched off, depressurised and cooled down before the valve is opened. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions for this.
What goes with it
From our workshop
When we dismantle a paddle group in Bern or Zurich, we lay the parts out on a cloth in the order they came out – from left to right. Reassembly then goes in reverse. This is our own routine, not a manufacturer requirement, but it prevents mixed-up rings. Afterwards we have a Nutty Delight, and you will find more beans among our coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Does the ring also fit the GS3 AV?
Number B.2.014.03 belongs to the MP version with paddle. Send us the serial number and we will check it for your machine.
Are seals included?
No, only the spacer ring is supplied. We stock O-rings and seals separately.
How can I tell that the ring is worn out?
By grooves, deformation from compression or heavy limescale build-up. If in doubt, send us a photo of the removed part.
Can I replace it myself?
The part sits in a pressurised group. We recommend installation by a qualified professional.
Can I see the part in the showroom?
Yes. In Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b.
