Some parts you only look for when you have a number in hand. This spring is one of them. 0,3 millimetre wire thickness, 15 millimetre length, stainless steel – and, when in doubt, exactly the part that stands between a running machine and one at a standstill.
Springs work every time they are actuated. They fatigue slowly and without warning. If a component no longer returns cleanly to its starting position or a mechanism has become too soft, it is always worth checking the spring before suspecting more expensive parts.
When the associated component no longer returns reliably, when the mechanism has become soft or sluggish, when the spring is shorter than the new part, or when it is deformed. At this price, a preventive replacement is worthwhile whenever the assembly is open anyway.
This spring is not one of the large springs from the LEVA spring set. We carry those separately as compression springs for the LEVA, large and small under their own part numbers. This one is the stainless steel spring 0,3 x 15 with the number I.1.112. The conical version is the conical compression spring 0,7 x 10,6 x 10,6 mm.

For service companies with a part number from the manufacturer's documentation, and for anyone who needs a small part that is in stock in Switzerland rather than a week-long delivery from abroad.
Other springs in our range are the conical compression spring 0,7 x 10,6 x 10,6 mm, the spring for the KB90 group head and the compression springs for the LEVA. Everything else can be found under La Marzocco accessories and spare parts and Service parts.
Small springs have a habit of disappearing during disassembly. We lay a light-coloured cloth under the assembly and work with tweezers instead of fingers – it sounds excessive, but it saves you a quarter of an hour on all fours. And as a rule, we order one more of such parts than we need. This is our routine in Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer requirement. Afterwards we test with Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty. All roasts under Coffee beans.
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or send us a short message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. We carry the springs from the LEVA spring set separately under their own part numbers. This one is I.1.112.
Our documentation doesn't say. Compare the number I.1.112 with your service documentation or write to us and we'll check it.
One spring is supplied per order. If you need several, order the corresponding quantity.
Stainless steel doesn't rust in the warm, humid environment of an espresso machine – which is crucial for a spring that is meant to work for years.
Yes, you can see it in person in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b).
