On modern Marzocco assemblies, small magnets sit in several places. They hold covers in place, they define positions, and they stay invisible right up until one of them falls out. Then a part no longer sits properly, rattles or no longer closes correctly.
This spare part is the La Marzocco magnet kit, part number F.9.004.R. It is a purely mechanical small part: no solenoid valve, no coil, no electronics.
When a magnet has come loose and is lying inside the machine. When a cover or a ring no longer holds, even though the component itself is fine. When magnets have been lost during servicing. And whenever a magnetically held part no longer stays in its position.

The kit belongs inside the appliance. We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions here, because the installation location is not clearly stated in the documentation and because components under pressure and at mains voltage are located in the immediate vicinity. The machine must be disconnected from the power supply and cooled down, and the work belongs in the hands of a qualified technician.
For service companies replacing missing magnets during servicing. And for anyone whose technician has put exactly this part on their order list.
We also stock magnetically held components individually, for example the extruder ring with magnets and the grinding chamber with magnets. Everything else can be found under Accessories and spare parts La Marzocco and in the Original spare parts section.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
Our routine, not a manufacturer requirement: magnets and toolboxes are not a good combination. While working, we always put loose magnets in a small plastic dish and not on the steel top of the workbench – otherwise every magnet immediately picks up metal shavings, and they are hard to get back out of a mounting. Afterwards, an espresso: Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty from our bean selection.
Returns excluded
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. This is a mechanical kit with magnets, with no coil and no electrical connection. Solenoid valves are separate parts, and we don't sell them through the online shop.
The service documentation does not state a quantity. We won't write a number here that we can't back up – just ask us and we'll look at the package before you order.
That isn't clearly stated in the documentation either. Send us the serial number of your machine and ideally a photo of the spot, and we'll clarify whether this kit is the right one.
We advise against it. Holding force, size and temperature resistance are not arbitrary on an espresso machine, and a magnet that comes loose ends up somewhere it doesn't belong.
Yes. We have two showrooms: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Let us know in advance and the part will be ready for you.
