The ring that settles into place magnetically
This ring belongs to the extruder and carries magnets. The magnets hold it in position without screws: you put it in place, it pulls itself into position, and for cleaning you take it out again with one hand. This is the kind of component that makes the difference between a cleaning routine you are happy to do every day and one you keep putting off.
A ring becomes an issue when its holding force weakens or its seat is damaged. It then sits askew, rattles during operation or slips out during cleaning. Because it helps determine the path of the ground coffee, a crooked position shows up in the dosing pattern long before anyone takes a look.
When it is due
The ring no longer holds by itself, sits askew or rattles. A magnet is missing or has come loose. The contact surface is worn or chipped. Or you dropped the part during the last cleaning and don't want to risk a gap in the grinding path.

Important for installation
The component sits inside the device. We do not provide step-by-step instructions. What matters is that the device is disconnected from the mains before any work and that the ring then sits flat and without a gap. Have a qualified professional check this.
Who it is for
For service technicians replacing a magnetically held extruder part, and for businesses where the ring no longer holds reliably. Because we do not want to claim a device, we would rather clarify the fit with you beforehand than afterwards, once the parcel has arrived.
What goes with it
More parts can be found under La Marzocco accessories and spare parts and in the Original spare parts section. From the same range comes the extruder ejection cone for the SWAN. We carry cleaning products for grinding mechanisms and machines under Machine and grinder cleaning.
Our routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification: during servicing, we never place magnetically held parts on the steel counter, but on a cloth. On steel they attract shavings and metal dust, which then travel into the device when the part is inserted. Sounds like a small thing, but it saves opening the device a second time. Afterwards we pull a test shot, preferably with Nutty Delight or Cozy Chocolate, and for milk drinks the Very Nutty. More under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the device. Therefore, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine before ordering – or send us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Which device does the ring belong to?
The item description does not name a device, so we do not name one either. Send us the serial number or a photo of the installation point and we will tell you whether 1056 fits.
Are the magnets available separately?
Here you get the ring with magnets as one unit. We don't say anything about individual magnets that we cannot back up.
Is this an electrical component?
No. These are permanent magnets in a ring, with no coil, no cable and no power connection.
How can I tell that the ring no longer holds?
It moves too easily, sits askew or rattles during operation. Often the first thing you notice is that the dosing becomes uneven.
Can I pick up the part at your showroom?
Yes. Bern, Gerberngasse 44 or Zurich, Hagenholzstrasse 50b. A short message is all it takes.
