La Marzocco grinding chamber with magnets – the space where the coffee is made

The grinding chamber is where beans turn into ground coffee. It guides the grinding mechanism, it channels the coffee to the outlet, and it takes the full load every day: coffee oil, fine dust, friction. After a few years it shows – and sometimes you first notice it in a grind profile that can no longer be set cleanly.

This spare part is the grinding chamber with magnets, part number C.2.092.R. The magnets are part of the assembly and hold the associated elements in position. What you get is the grinding chamber – burrs and drive are separate items.

When it's due

When the grinding chamber is damaged, shows cracks or a mount is worn out. When a magnet is missing and a part it holds no longer sits properly. When the grind setting can no longer be kept stable even though the burrs are new. And after a foreign object has got into the grinder – a small stone does more damage in there than you can see from the outside.

Important for installation

The grinding chamber sits inside the grinder, right next to the drive. We deliberately don't give step-by-step instructions here: the grinder must be disconnected from the mains, and after installation the grind setting has to be readjusted and checked. That belongs in the hands of a qualified technician – incorrectly fitted burrs run against each other and are ruined afterwards.

Who it's for

For service companies repairing a La Marzocco grinder. For roasteries and cafés with high throughput, where the grinder handles many kilos a day. And for anyone who, after a foreign object in the grinding mechanism, has to replace more than just the burrs.

What goes with it

Everything for grinders can be found under Coffee grinder accessories and spare parts. Matching parts are the magnet kit, the extruder ring with magnets and the inner burr holder. All spare parts: Original spare parts.

Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich

Our routine at the roastery, not a manufacturer's instruction: when a grinding chamber is open, we clean it dry – brush, vacuum, grinder cleaner if necessary – and never with water. Coffee oil and residual moisture together form exactly the deposit that causes problems again later. And for the adjustment afterwards we always use the same bean so that we have a comparison: at our place the Nutty Delight, otherwise the Cozy Chocolate or the Very Nutty. The full range: Coffee beans.

Returns excluded

Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Frequently asked questions

Which grinder is this part for?

The service documentation lists it under C.2.092.R without naming a grinder model. That's why we don't set a model tag here and don't claim anything. Send us your grinder's serial number and we'll clarify the match before you order.

Are burrs included?

No. You get the grinding chamber with its magnets. We carry burrs as separate items.

Are there any electronics inside?

No. It's a mechanical assembly. Magnets aren't electrics – motor, circuit board and switches are separate items, and we don't sell them through our online shop.

Do I need to readjust the grind setting afterwards?

Yes. After any work on the grinding mechanism, the grind setting has to be readjusted and checked with a test shot. This isn't a formality – it's the difference between a clean espresso and one that channels.

Can I pick up the part from you?

Yes. We have two showrooms: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Let us know beforehand and the part will be ready for you.
