This Viton ring appears in the documentation under no fewer than three size designations: 2025, 105 and 2-010. That is not a mistake but everyday reality in the world of seals – depending on the standard and the catalogue, the same dimension carries a different number. For us, the only binding reference is the part number H.1.006.
Because mix-ups with O-rings get expensive, we have put all three designations in the title. If you work with an older drawing, an inch standard or an assortment box, you will still find the ring this way, even if a different number is given there.
Viton does not age by going soft, but by going hard. The ring loses its sheen, develops a matt, slightly cracked surface and no longer stretches properly. On the machine you notice it at a threaded fitting that gets damp under pressure and stays dry when depressurised, or at a limescale edge that has formed on its own. During removal, a ring like this tends to stick in the groove.

The ring sits in a pressurised connection. Let the machine cool down, disconnect it from the mains and release the pressure completely. We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions here. Brittle Viton rings tend to crumble during removal – check the groove for residue before inserting the new ring.
For service companies that work with drawings from different production years and come across one of the three designations. And for workshops that would rather order the original part than reach into an assortment box and hope for the right material.
Other Viton rings are the O-ring 4150 Viton 75 ShA and the Viton O-ring for the thermostat valve and gigleur. In FKM there is the O-ring 2,62 × 17,13 mm FKM 70 ShA. You will find an overview in the Spare parts section and under La Marzocco accessories and spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
When a drawing gives a number we don't know, we don't measure the removed ring – we look for the part number. Values measured on a compressed ring regularly lead to the wrong size. That is our routine, not a manufacturer specification. For the test extraction afterwards we use Nutty Delight, sweeter with Cozy Chocolate, stronger with Very Nutty. More under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Because the same dimension is designated differently depending on the catalogue. 2025, 105 and 2-010 refer to the same ring. That way you will find it regardless of which documentation you have in front of you.
Our documentation does not state them. It only lists the three size designations and the part number H.1.006, and we stick to that.
That is not stated there either. What counts is the number H.1.006 on the exploded view of your machine. Otherwise, send us the serial number.
Because the parts list specifies Viton at this position. The material withstands higher temperatures better than a standard compound.
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Let us know shortly beforehand and the part will be ready for you.
