The manufacturer lists this position under size designation 2062 with an inner diameter of 15.6 millimetres. The part number is H.1.009. It is a classic O-ring of the kind found in La Marzocco machines on threaded fittings, valve bodies and feedthroughs, where its only job is to keep water and steam where they belong.
Rings like this don't age through use, but through heat and time. They lose their elastic recovery, flatten at the contact surfaces and eventually open up the gap they kept closed for years. That is exactly why they are among the parts you replace anyway during a major service, rather than waiting until they make themselves noticed.
When it's due
The first sign is usually a damp patch that comes back after you wipe it away. Then comes a small limescale trail at the threaded fitting, sometimes also a faint hiss when using steam. When you remove it, you see it straight away: the old ring is hard, no longer stretches, has a visible flat spot on two sides and sticks in the groove instead of falling out. A ring in this condition won't seal again by tightening harder – it just gets squeezed further.

Important for installation
This ring belongs in a pressurised connection. Only work on a machine that has cooled down, is depressurised and disconnected from the mains, and fully release the boiler pressure before you loosen a threaded fitting. We deliberately don't provide step-by-step instructions here. After reassembly, check the spot once more with the machine at operating temperature.

It sounds fiddly, but it saves time every time during reassembly, because otherwise similar sizes get mixed up within minutes. This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll work out the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
What material is the ring made of?
Our documentation doesn't say for this position. We'd rather write nothing than guess EPDM or Viton. If you need to know the material for certain for your application, we'll ask the manufacturer.
