La Marzocco O-rings for LEVA – six sizes, one page

There are more seals at work in a lever machine than you might think. Brew group, valves, backflush connection – there are O-rings everywhere, and they all age the same way: they harden, lose their preload, and then it starts dripping at a spot where nothing had leaked for years.

Instead of six almost identical product pages, you'll find all sizes in one place here. Choose the size you need – and if you're unsure, write to us and tell us where things are getting damp on your machine.

Which size for what

The three rings with an inner diameter of 56,87, 56,82 and 58,42 millimetres belong to the brew group. The small one with 12,42 millimetres fits the LEVA and KB90. The remaining two are intended for other sealing points on the LEVA.

Who they are for

For workshops and for anyone who services their LEVA themselves. If you have the group open anyway, it's best to replace all the rings – individually they're so inexpensive that a second job costs more than the set.

What goes with it

The LEVA brew group also includes the O-rings for the backflush screw and the group head gasket for LEVA. To keep limescale from ageing the sealing points prematurely, the cleaning range for machine and grinder helps. Everything else under La Marzocco accessories and spare parts.

Tip from our café

We always fit O-rings with a touch of food-grade silicone grease – that way the ring slides into its groove instead of twisting during assembly. A twisted ring seals at first and tears after a few weeks. And we lay the used rings out in order on a cloth before the new ones go in: that way you don't mix up the similar sizes. This is our workshop routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification. For dialling in afterwards, we use Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate for chocolatey notes and Very Nutty for maximum body. All roasts under Coffee beans.

Returns excluded

Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Frequently asked questions

I don't know which size I need.

Write to us and tell us where it's leaking, and if possible send a photo of the removed ring next to a ruler. We'll tell you which one it is – with service parts that can't be returned, that's the safer way.

How many rings do I get?

One per order and size. If you're doing the whole brew group, order the three group sizes together.

Why EPDM and not silicone?

EPDM is the version La Marzocco specifies for these points. It withstands hot water and steam better over the long term than many alternatives.

Can I keep the rings in stock as a precaution?

Yes, and at these prices it makes sense. Store them somewhere dark and cool, and they'll hardly age on the shelf.

Do I need tools?

For dismantling, yes. Never use pointed tools on the ring itself, otherwise the new one will be damaged straight away.
