On the Linea Mini, every shot goes through this lever. It is raised, held and lowered again – a few times a day in a household, considerably more often in an office. The manufacturer lists it under number C.2.036 and describes it as a plastic part in black.
A paddle is a control part and therefore a wear part in the literal sense: it gets touched, cleaned and occasionally knocked. At some point the surface becomes dull, the edges show marks, or a crack has formed at the mount. Replacing it is one of the few jobs on a Linea Mini that can be done without touching the water circuit.
The lever wobbles where it used to sit firmly. The surface is scratched or has turned matt and sticky from cleaning agents. A fine crack appears at the mounting point – that is where a paddle eventually breaks, and then the machine is out of action. And sometimes it is simply about looks: on a Linea Mini, a worn lever catches the eye immediately.

For owners of a Linea Mini whose lever is damaged or worn, and for service workshops getting a machine back into shape. Because the part is accessible from the outside, it is one of the few items where replacing it is worthwhile for looks alone.
Not to be confused with the paddle cover for the Linea Mini – that is the trim around the lever, number C.2.035, not the lever itself. Also fitting the same machine are the steam and water knob and the large lid for the water tank. The counterpart on its big sister is the paddle for the GS3 MP. For an overview, see La Marzocco Linea Mini spare parts and the Original spare parts section.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Black plastic does not like harsh cleaners. We only wipe paddles with a damp cloth and deliberately keep degreasers and brew group cleaners away from them – the matt, sticky surface you see on older machines almost always comes from the wrong product. That is our routine, not a manufacturer specification. With everything freshly done, the first shot tastes better anyway, ideally with Nutty Delight; sweeter with Cozy Chocolate, stronger with Very Nutty. More in our coffee beans section.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
The lever. The trim around the paddle is a separate part with number C.2.035 and can be found here in the shop as «Paddle cover».
No. The GS3 MP has its own paddle with number C.2.020, which we stock separately.
Our documentation lists C.2.036 exclusively in the black plastic version. We are not aware of any other colours for this item.
It sits on the outside of the group. Switch the machine off and let it cool down first. If the shaft has to be moved or removed in the process, the job belongs in the hands of a qualified technician.
