The knob you reach for every time you steam milk
The rotary knob opens and closes the steam and hot water valve on the Linea Mini. It gets touched dozens of times a day, often with damp hands, and it sits exactly where the steam is hottest. After a few years, it shows.
A knob with a worn-out seat spins freely, slips on the spindle or no longer closes cleanly – and that is exactly when the wand starts dripping. Part number F.1.055 refers to the rotary knob of the Linea Mini; the matching cap is a separate part.
When it is due
- The knob spins without moving the valve.
- The wand keeps dripping even though the valve seems closed.
- The plastic is cracked, discoloured or partly melted.
- The knob sits loose on the spindle.

Who it is for
For anyone with a Linea Mini whose knob has worn loose, or who wants a clean control part on the front again after years of use. Together with the cap, the front looks like new.
What goes with it
From our workshop
In Bern and Zurich, we wipe the steam knob with a damp cloth after every shift, before the milk residue dries on. Sounds trivial, but it visibly keeps the plastic looking good for longer – our habit, not a manufacturer requirement. For milk drinks, our team particularly likes Cozy Chocolate; you will find all the others under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will work out the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Is the cap included?
No. We stock the cap for the rotary knob as a separate part.
Does the knob also fit the Linea Micra?
No, the Micra has its own rotary knob. If in doubt, send us the serial number.
Does a new knob help with a dripping wand?
Only if the knob spins freely. If it keeps dripping, it is usually down to the gasket or the valve seat.
Can I replace the knob myself?
The knob sits on the outside. Only work on the machine when it is cold and switched off.
Can I see the part in the showroom?
Yes. In Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b.
