On a GS3 with a glass side panel, the screw isn't hidden behind a cover but sits right in your line of sight. It is chrome-plated because it is part of the design – and that is exactly why any rusty, scratched or stripped screw stands out immediately.
It is also a separate item: the screw for the glass panel has the number A.2.025 and is not the same as the one for the standard side panel. If you order by eye, it's easy to end up with the wrong one.
The head is stripped because the wrong tool was used on it too often. The chrome layer shows rust spots or has chipped at the edge. The thread no longer engages cleanly. Or a screw simply went missing during the last service – with a part this size, that's a common reason too.

For owners of a GS3 with a glass panel who care about their machine down to the last detail. For technicians who replace all the visible screws during an overhaul rather than leaving one dull screw among shiny ones. And for anyone who wants to know exactly which of the two GS3 panel screws they need.
For the standard side panel there is the chrome screw A.2.013 – a separate item. The rubber washer for GS3 glass panel screws goes under the glass panel screws. Also on the panel: the brass nut M8 × 3 and the cover cap D13. All parts for this machine: La Marzocco GS3 spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer's specification: we only tighten the screws on the glass panel by hand and never with a cordless screwdriver. Glass doesn't forgive overtightening, and a screw that puts the panel under stress will make it crack months later – usually on a Monday morning. Afterwards, a few shots as a check, usually with the Nutty Delight. For something more chocolatey, try the Cozy Chocolate; for something stronger, the Very Nutty. Everything else under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been fitted or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll work out the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
A.2.025 belongs to the glass side panel, A.2.013 to the standard side panel. Two items that are easily mixed up – if in doubt, check whether your panel is made of glass.
One screw is supplied. The best way to find out how many your panel has is to count them on the machine – we'll gladly order the whole set for you.
We have no information on this, and we won't make any up. On request, we can ask the manufacturer for the values.
No. The rubber washer is a separate item. With glass panels, it's worth replacing both at the same time.
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there. Bring the old screw with you and we'll compare them together.
