The little plastic cap that makes the screw head disappear
This cover cap with a 13 millimetre diameter sits on an M8 hex socket screw and turns a visible screw joint into a smooth surface. It costs next to nothing, yet it is the part that decides whether a machine looks well cared for or half finished.
It usually gets lost during servicing: it is levered off, ends up on the counter and then somewhere else. If you miss it later, you will not find it again. We stock it individually under part number F.1.110, in black and made of LDPE.
When it is due
A replacement is due if:
- the cap is missing and the screw head is exposed,
- it tore or broke during disassembly,
- it no longer holds and falls out by itself,
- the plastic has faded or discoloured.

From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
When dismantling, we always put cover caps in a small bowl instead of on the work surface – and we lever them off with a wooden stick, never with a screwdriver. That way the old cap usually survives removal. This is our habit, not a manufacturer specification. Once the machine is closed again, we test with Nutty Delight, for milk drinks with Cozy Chocolate, and for strong espresso with Very Nutty. Everything under Coffee beans.
No returns
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

It is intended for M8 hex socket screws with a 13 mm head diameter. For other heads, just drop us a line.

How do I get the old cap out without damaging the paintwork?
With a wooden or plastic stick instead of metal. That protects the surface underneath.
