So the lever group seal reaches its place undamaged
On the LEVA, the seal sits deep inside the group, and the way there leads over edges, grooves and narrow diameters. It can be done by hand – but every time with the risk that the sealing lip tears or folds over as it goes in. That is exactly what goes unnoticed on the day of installation.
This tool guides the seal evenly and keeps it in shape as it moves over the edge. You notice the difference later: a correctly fitted seal lasts a whole season, one damaged during fitting comes back within weeks.
When you need it
For seal service on the lever group, after dismantling the group, and when a new seal lets water through again after a short time – a common sign that it was damaged during fitting.

From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
We always do the seal service on the LEVA in pairs: one person holds the group, the other guides the tool. On your own, you will almost inevitably tilt it – that is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. Afterwards the machine runs empty for a quarter of an hour, and we pull the first espresso with a Nutty Delight, sometimes with the Cozy Chocolate or the Very Nutty. Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will check the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

How does UT021 differ from UT018?
In our documentation, UT018 is listed for the LEVA type 2 piston seals, UT021 generally for the LEVA seals. Which number your service requires is stated in the service documentation for your machine.
Are seals included?
No. Only the tool is supplied. Seals, pistons and service kits are separate items.
Does it fit every LEVA?
Our documentation lists it for the LEVA without further restriction. For older production years, send us the serial number and we will check it.
What material is it made of?
We have no information on this, so we do not claim any. The only reliable reference is the part number UT021.
