Burrs sit tight. After a few hundred kilos of coffee, the contact surfaces are stuck with fine, hard-pressed coffee oil, and if you then pry the burr out with a screwdriver, you bend it or damage the outer teeth. After that the grinder runs unevenly, and nobody understands why.
This tool grips the outer burr at the designated points and pulls it straight out of its seat. The difference is audible: a burr that has been cleanly removed and refitted runs quietly, a warped one rattles.
When changing the burrs, when thoroughly cleaning the grinding chamber, and whenever the grinder grinds unevenly or takes longer than usual despite a fresh adjustment. In food service, the change is usually due after 500 to 800 kilograms – the manufacturer states the exact value for your grinder.

For businesses that change the burrs themselves, and for service companies that look after several La Marzocco grinders.
The same job also involves the conical inner burrs Ø 83 mm for the SWAN, the holder for the inner burr and the burr kit for the Jay. You will find more grinder parts under Coffee grinder accessories and spare parts and in the category Spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
We brush out the grinding chamber dry before removal and then clean it with Puly Grind Verde – never with water, which only makes the residue stick even more. You will find more cleaning products under Machine and grinder cleaning. After the change, we discard the first two runs and readjust on the third, usually with a Nutty Delight, sometimes with the Cozy Chocolate or the Very Nutty. The full selection is under Coffee beans. That is our routine, not a manufacturer specification.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the appliance. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Our documentation lists the tool without a grinder model, so we do not name one. Tell us which grinder you have and we will check the fit.
No, only the tool is supplied. Burrs and burr sets are separate items.
UT369 is for the outer burr, UT030 for the inner one, and UT368 is a set for replacing the Swan burrs.
We have no information on this. The only reliable reference is the part number UT369.
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick line telling us which part you need, and we will have it ready for you.
