The coffee is already waiting, and next to it sits a bowl – for muesli, a piece of bread, or simply for the calm of a breakfast that takes its time. Four colours, one faceted surface that makes each bowl look a little different in the light.
The bold, multi-faceted shape echoes the design language of the first La Marzocco espresso machines from 1927. The set was created in collaboration with POLSPOTTEN, the Amsterdam design house known for bold colours and characterful objects. Each bowl is handcrafted from glazed porcelain; the glossy, speckled surface gives every piece its own character. The four colours are matched to the Linea Mini and Linea Micra – if you own one, you'll recognise the connection; if not, you still get four bowls with a character all their own.
What we eat doesn't only taste of what's inside – the vessel plays a part too. The colour, weight and surface of a bowl demonstrably influence how we perceive taste and texture. A breakfast served from a bowl with character is therefore never just a practical moment.
Nobody needs a breakfast bowl in Polygon design – any 720 ml bowl technically serves the same purpose. Whoever wants this set wants something else: a small, colourful start to the day. That's an emotional decision, and our opinion on it is just one of many.

For anyone who wants to serve breakfast, muesli or a small snack with colour – no matter which coffee machine you have at home. No prior experience needed, just an appreciation for colour and form.
For most people, breakfast comes with a cup of coffee – in the same Polygon design, our La Marzocco cappuccino, espresso and latte cup set from the same collection makes a fitting match. If you brew your own coffee, our Normcore collection offers a compact, precise scale for dosing by weight, or with our Acaia collection one with an app and flow-rate display. And for the coffee itself, it's worth a look at our coffee beans collection.
For muesli, yoghurt, small snacks or anything else you'd usually serve alongside coffee – with a 720 ml capacity, it's versatile.
No, the colours are simply matched to these two models – the bowls themselves fit into any kitchen.
Yes, the glazed porcelain is dishwasher safe and suited to everyday use.
The set includes 4 bowls, one each in yellow, red, light blue and taupe. The combination is fixed as part of the set.
Yes, you can experience the set live in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b).
Yes, the cappuccino, espresso and latte cup set from the same collection shares the same design language and colour world.
For breakfast, most people enjoy a dense, aromatic coffee from our own roastery: Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight. If you're after maximum body with no acidity at all, you'll find it in Very Nutty. And if you'd like to discover a fruity experience for a change, we recommend Wild Peach. That's our recommendation – one of many.
You order directly through our online shop. If you have questions, we're happy to help — online or in person — with experience from our roastery, cafés and showrooms.
