Under the drip tray grate of your Rocket sits a plastic container that catches everything that misses: rinse water from the blind filter, leftovers from the portafilter, drops of milk, descaling solution. It is the part of the machine that gets taken out most often – and therefore also the one that breaks most often.
The typical case is a hairline crack in one corner that only becomes noticeable when you empty it, because the water suddenly runs down the edge. Or discolouration that no longer comes off after years. Neither is a defect of the machine, it is simply wear from use.
When it is due
The container has a crack and is losing water, usually first at a corner or at the spout. It is warped and no longer sits cleanly under the grate. It is permanently discoloured or still smells even after thorough cleaning. Or it fell when you were emptying it – the most common reason of all.

Our routine, not a manufacturer specification: we empty the drip tray at the end of every day and rinse it with warm water – not with whatever oven cleaner happens to be lying around. Aggressive agents make plastic brittle, and that is exactly when it cracks the next time you pull it out. Once a week, washing-up liquid is fine, and every few weeks a bath in Puly Caff Plus. No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Does the container fit my Rocket?
The part number is A439904913. The description available to us does not state which model series it covers. Send us the serial number of your machine and we will check it before you order – ideally with a photo of the removed tray.
Is the drip tray grate included?
No. Only the collection container is supplied. Grate, tray and sealing plug are separate items.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
We do not recommend it. Heat and dishwasher salt make plastic brittle – warm water and washing-up liquid are perfectly sufficient.
Can I glue a crack?
On a part that holds water and is moved every day, no glued joint lasts long. We advise against it.
Can I see the part at your showroom?
