The Boxer is a commercial machine, and its brew group works accordingly: hundreds of shots a day, constantly at temperature, constantly under pressure. It lasts many years doing this – but it is also the component where all the stresses come together.
When a group is truly worn out, you don't notice it in the taste but in the mechanics: a thread no longer grips, a sealing surface can no longer be sealed, or water seeps out of the casting at a point where there is no gasket.
A thread in the group is stripped. The casting has a crack or a porous spot that leaks under pressure. The sealing seat is worn and no longer holds, even with a new gasket. The water path is so heavily scaled that descaling no longer helps. Or a group is to be swapped as a whole during operation and the old one overhauled at leisure – in a bar often the quickest way.

For bars and service businesses with a Boxer where a group can no longer be saved with individual parts – and for businesses that want a spare group on the shelf so a machine can be running again in an hour instead of a day.
The group carries hot water under pressure and sits right next to the boiler, heating element and mains voltage. Replacing it requires draining the machine, depressurising it and realigning the group in the housing. This belongs in the hands of a specialist. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions here.
The brew group diffuser, the group gasket 8 mm, as a sister item the complete brew group of the Appartamento TCA, and the Rocket Boxer spare parts section.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our routine, not a manufacturer requirement: in high-volume businesses we backflush every evening with a blind filter and Puly Caff Plus and take out the shower screen once a week. It's the cheapest life extension for a group there is – coffee oil left in place hardens and works its way into every sealing surface. The morning after every job we pull three shots to run it in: Nutty Delight as standard, Cozy Chocolate as a cross-check, Very Nutty for milk drinks. More under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine before ordering – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

The item is listed for the Boxer. The series exists in several generations – send us the serial number and we'll check the fit before you order.
Often not. Dripping, poor extraction and leaking shower screens usually come from the gasket, diffuser, valve or scale. The whole group is the solution for cracked brass and stripped threads.
No, the brew group itself is purely mechanical. However, it sits next to the heating element and mains voltage, hence installation by a specialist.
Yes. We're in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring your machine's serial number and we'll look at the damage together.
