The gasket that always goes along with a heating element replacement
The Boxer's heating element sits in the boiler with a flange. This gasket lies between the flange and the boiler wall. It keeps the boiler water where it belongs, at operating temperature and under pressure, for years.
It is purely a sealing part – not an electrical component. You need it in two situations: when it has started leaking itself, and whenever the heating element is removed for any reason. Reusing a gasket that has already been compressed almost never works well. The part number is M469904774.
When it is due
The gasket is due when moisture escapes at the heating element flange or a white limescale crust has formed. When there is water under the machine that cannot be traced to any other spot. And in any case whenever the heating element is removed for testing or replacement – then the new gasket is mandatory, not optional.

Important for installation
This gasket sits on the heating element, i.e. on a component that is connected to mains voltage and sits in a pressurised boiler. We deliberately do not publish instructions for removal and installation here – this is explicitly not a job for the kitchen table. The part is intended for service workshops and for customers who want to have it ready for a technician's appointment. Checking the electrical connections and the subsequent leak test are a mandatory part of the job.

Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test-fitting on the machine. Is the heating element included?
No. Only the gasket is supplied. We do not sell heating elements themselves through the online shop – get in touch with us and we will sort out the service case.
Does it also fit a different heating output?
This number belongs to the 4000 W version. The serial number tells us which heating element is in your machine.
Can I reuse the old gasket?
We advise against it. It was deformed when it was first tightened and rarely seals reliably a second time.
