An espresso machine rarely stands still: every time you lock in the portafilter, a solid jolt goes through the housing, and the four feet absorb it. After a few years you usually notice it first by the sound – the machine slides slightly while tamping, or it wobbles because a foot has been flattened or the rubber has turned hard and cracked.
This foot is made of two parts: a threaded carrier and a rubber piece fitted on top. Rocket uses exactly this design on the Giotto, Evoluzione R, R58 and R60V. It is supplied individually, not as a set of four – if you want to replace all four, order it four times.
Replacing it is worthwhile as soon as one of these applies: the machine wobbles on a level counter; it noticeably shifts when you lock in the portafilter; the rubber is hard, glazed or torn; or the foot has been permanently compressed under the load, so the machine stands crooked.
A crooked stance is more than a cosmetic flaw. The drip tray then no longer drains cleanly towards the outlet, and water collects in the lower corner – that's the beginning of limescale rings and odours.

For anyone whose machine has stood in the same spot for years and has slowly started to lean, and for anyone who has taken over a used Rocket and wants to restore it properly from the ground up. The swap is simple: disconnect the machine from the mains, let it cool down, lift it, unscrew the foot, screw in the new one.
Depending on the model, a Rocket weighs well over twenty kilograms. Lifting it takes two people or a stable surface on which you carefully lay the machine on its side. Remove the water tank, portafilter and drip tray first, otherwise residual water will run over the electrics in the base. The machine must be disconnected from the mains and cooled down.
The categories Rocket R58 and R60 spare parts and Rocket Giotto and Cellini spare parts list the other parts for these machines. For the Appartamento there is a separate, differently built foot. For an overview of all the Rocket parts we carry, see Rocket accessories and spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
Before we replace a foot, we lay a spirit level across the cup tray. Often it's not the machine that's crooked but the kitchen counter – in that case a new foot won't help at all, and you simply readjust the existing ones.
And because no repair of ours ends without a tasting: afterwards an espresso with Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty runs through the group. You'll find the full selection in our Coffee beans. This is our own workshop routine, not a manufacturer requirement.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we'll check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
One foot. If you want to replace all four, put the part in your cart four times.
Over time, Rocket changed the number from A019904282 to R059906167. It is the same part. If your service documents still show the old number, you're in the right place.
No. In the documentation, the same two-piece foot with the same number R059906167 is additionally listed as 40 millimetres plus 20 millimetres for the R58 from serial number C1706. We list both under this one item so that there aren't two articles for the same part in the catalogue.
For the version on the R58 from serial number C1706, the documentation states 40 millimetres plus 20 millimetres for the two parts. We have no dimensions for the other model series, so we don't state any there.
Yes. Bring the removed part to our Showroom in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, we'll compare it directly with the spare part and you can take it home right away.
