The R58 and R60 have their own hot water outlet, and at its end sits a spout. It softens the jet and spreads it over several openings so the water flows calmly into the cup instead of splashing up the side.
Because the openings are the narrowest passages in the entire water path, limescale shows up here first. A hard single jet, water spraying out sideways or a whistling sound when you open the tap are the typical signs.
A scaled-up spout is almost never a defective spout. Unscrew it, soak it overnight in a descaler from our machine and grinder cleaning range, then rinse it thoroughly. In most cases the jet runs cleanly again afterwards. Replacement is only worthwhile once openings stay blocked, the thread is worn out or the part has been deformed.
The spout is replaced when the jet still runs crooked after descaling or individual openings stay blocked; when it can no longer be tightened to seal; when it is deformed or cracked; or when water leaks sideways at the fitting during dispensing even though the gasket is new.
Rocket fits a different spout depending on the model series. We stock these:
The most reliable way to find out which spout belongs on your machine is via the serial number. Write to us if you're unsure.

For anyone with an R58 or R60 who regularly makes tea or Americano, and for workshops that replace the small parts along the hot water path during a service.
The spout sits on the hot water path. Before unscrewing it, the machine must be switched off, depressurised and cooled down – steam bursts out of a hot outlet as soon as you loosen the fitting. When tightening, feel matters, not force. We deliberately don't give step-by-step instructions here, because the fitting is designed differently depending on the year of manufacture.
Every replacement should be preceded by descaling. The other parts for these machines are in the Rocket R58 and R60 spare parts section. If the whole outlet needs attention, we also stock the complete steam wand for the R58.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
We hold the unscrewed spout under the tap and look at it from below. An even veil means clear, individual jets mean partly blocked. It's the quickest test and needs no tools.
And because no repair of ours ends without a tasting: afterwards an espresso with Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty runs through the brew group. You'll find the full selection in our coffee beans. This is our own workshop routine, not a manufacturer requirement.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
The documentation lists both model series under the same number R299905217. For older machines, we're happy to check the fit using your serial number.
Yes, and that's always the first step. Soaking it overnight in a descaler and rinsing it thoroughly solves most cases. Don't poke through it with a needle, as that widens the openings unevenly.
No. The scope of delivery is the complete spout. We'll find out on request which gasket goes with your model series.
They are different parts with their own part numbers, which the manufacturer prices differently. They are not interchangeable.
Yes. Bring the removed part to our showroom in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, and we'll compare it directly with the spare part so you can take it with you straight away.
