Rocket Burrs Faustino V2 – fresh cutting edges, a clean grind

You hear new burrs before you taste them. The grinding sound becomes shorter and more even, the grounds fall more loosely into the portafilter and clump less. What used to look like dusty flour has structure again.

Burrs are wear parts. Every bean that passes between them takes a tiny bit of the cutting edge with it. At some point they crush more than they cut – and then even good beans taste flat and bitter. This set fits the Rocket Faustino V2. Part number R019907909.

When it is due

The burrs are due when, at the same dose and the same setting, the espresso runs faster and you have to keep grinding finer. When the grounds become finer and dustier but are still harder to tamp. When the grinder takes longer and sounds louder than it used to. And when, under good lighting, the cutting edges look worn smooth instead of sharp.

Important for installation

The burrs sit directly on the grinder's drive. Before any work, the grinder must be disconnected from the mains. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions – the replacement belongs in the hands of a professional who seats the burrs perfectly flat, tightens them to the correct torque and then resets the zero point. Burrs mounted at an angle strike each other and are ruined within minutes.

Who it is for

For everyone with a Faustino V2 whose espresso no longer tastes balanced despite a clean routine. For cafés that service their grinder by the kilogram rather than by feel. And for everyone who wants to bring a second-hand grinder up to a defined standard.

What goes with it

If the adjustment is loose as well, you will find the grind adjustment ring in our shop. Further parts for this grinder are in the Rocket Faustino and Fausto spare parts section and in coffee grinder accessories and spare parts. Cleaning products for the grinding unit are in machine and grinder cleaning, and our full range is in original spare parts and replacement parts.

Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich

Our routine, not a manufacturer specification: after changing the burrs, we grind two to three hundred grams of inexpensive beans and throw them away before we start dialling in seriously. Fresh cutting edges need this run-in, otherwise you are chasing a target that is still moving. For dialling in afterwards we use Nutty Delight, because it is forgiving enough to show progress. With milk we check with Cozy Chocolate, and for maximum body with Very Nutty. More in our coffee beans.

No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your grinder – or drop us a quick message and we will confirm the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

Frequently asked questions

After how many kilos are burrs due?

That depends heavily on the bean, the roast level and the setting. The grinder's behaviour is more reliable than a number: if you constantly have to grind finer, it is time.

Do the burrs also fit the first-generation Faustino?

This set is intended for the Faustino V2. Send us the serial number of your grinder and we will check the fit before you order.

Do I need to readjust after the replacement?

Yes. After the replacement, the old scale value is no longer correct. The zero point must be reset and the grind size adjusted again.

Can I replace the burrs myself?

They sit on the drive and must be mounted perfectly flat and to the correct torque. We recommend installation by a professional.

Can I see the part at your shop?

Yes. We will be happy to show it to you in our showrooms in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b.
