Rocket grind adjustment ring – so the setting holds exactly where you put it
When dialling in a grinder, the small things count. One click further, two seconds more extraction time – and exactly this fine control is lost when the adjustment ring develops play. The scale still shows the same value, but the grinding mechanism no longer does.
The adjustment ring carries the grind adjustment and holds the selected position against the vibration of the running grinding mechanism. It is a mechanical component with no electronics. Part number R019907749.
When it needs replacing
The ring needs replacing when the grind size shifts on its own during operation. When the detents become soft and clicks no longer engage noticeably. When there is no longer a reliable link between setting and result. And when the ring is visibly worn or can be turned out of position relative to the scale.

Important for installation
The adjustment ring sits in the grinding mechanism, right next to the burrs and close to the drive. The grinder must be unplugged before any work. We deliberately do not give step-by-step instructions – the replacement belongs with a qualified technician who can dismantle the grinding mechanism and then properly reset the zero point. Without this calibration, the scale will no longer be accurate after the replacement.

Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
Our routine, not a manufacturer specification: after any work on the adjustment, we deliberately set the grind too coarse, grind through once and then work our way back in small steps. That way you notice immediately whether the detents engage cleanly again. For running in we use Nutty Delight, because it reacts clearly to changes in grind size. Then we taste against it with Cozy Chocolate and with Very Nutty when it should be strong. Everything else in our coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced per order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on a device. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your grinder – or send us a quick message and we will check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Are burrs included?
No. You receive the adjustment ring on its own. Burrs and dial are separate spare parts.
Does the ring fit my Rocket grinder?
That depends on the model and year of manufacture. Send us your grinder's serial number and we will check the fit before you order.
Do I need to recalibrate after the replacement?
Yes. After the replacement, the zero point must be reset, otherwise the scale will no longer match the actual grind size.
My grind size drifts – is the adjustment ring always to blame?
Not necessarily. Loose screws, worn burrs or bearing damage are also possible causes. The diagnosis belongs in a specialist workshop.
