ECM Technika VI – Dual Boiler with ECM-61
Brushed stainless steel, a robust ECM-61 brew group, and a blue manometer: The Technika VI is a dual boiler with two separately heated boilers, allowing for simultaneous brewing and frothing – and can also be used as a single circuit machine if needed. ECM is a German manufacturer based in Bammental near Heidelberg, producing handmade machines in Germany and Italy.
Coffee Coaching Club is ECM's partner in Switzerland. With every new coffee machine from CHF 1'500, a private barista introduction course of around 60 minutes is included – in Bern, Zurich or online, for up to two people from the same household or company attending together. The course must take place within one month of delivery; after that, the entitlement expires. Get in touch with us for the course and we'll find a date together. Swiss warranty and post-purchase support are also included.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Dual Boiler mean for the Technika VI?
Two separately heated boilers for brew water and steam. You set the brewing temperature independently and can brew and froth simultaneously. If needed, it can also be used as a single circuit machine.
Can I connect it to the water mains?
Yes. Operation via water tank or fixed water connection is possible. We can set up the connection upon request during delivery.
How long does it take to heat up?
Allow around 11 minutes – thanks to the Fast Heat-Up mode, the ECM-61 brew group is then stable at temperature.
Can I see the ECM Technika VI live before buying?
That depends on whether the Technika VI is on display right now. Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – it is too large for that, and the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the Technika VI is currently there.
Roaster's Tip
You can make the most of the dual boiler by choosing the brewing temperature to match the bean and leaving the steam boiler at full power independently – this produces fine milk foam for latte art. Brew a little higher for lighter roasts, and a little lower for darker ones. This is our recommendation, one of many.
