Rocket Bicocca – Dual Boiler Espresso Machine
Your hand rests on the group head, a tap on the touch display, and the programmed shot begins to pour. Two separate, insulated boilers keep brewing and steam temperatures independently stable – the Bicocca is Rocket's handcrafted dual boiler with a saturated group head, available in chrome and black.
Coffee Coaching Club is a Rocket partner in Switzerland. With your purchase, you receive our private barista course (German or English, in Bern or Zurich), where we introduce you to extraction and the espresso ritual.
All Features at a Glance
Dual Boiler, Insulated
Separate, insulated boilers for brewing (600 ml) and steaming (1000 ml) – stable temperatures and steam on demand, even with many milk drinks in a row.
Saturated Group Head
The saturated group is directly coupled to the brew boiler. In our experience, this delivers a particularly smooth, refined flavor profile – this is our observation, others see it differently.
Touch Display on the Group Head
Two programmable shots and control directly on the group head – everything in view where you work.
Rotary Pump, Tank or Plumbed-in
Quiet operation via the rotary pump, optionally with a water tank or direct water connection.

Who it's for
For everyone who wants separate insulated boilers, a saturated group, and controls directly on the group head. A dual boiler of this type does not make measurably better espresso than a good heat exchange machine for the vast majority – but it gives you control, steam reserve, and a presence on the counter. You either want it or you don't. Both are legitimate.
What goes with it
A grinder that can keep up, from the Eureka Coffee Grinders or Weber Workshops grinders; affordable entry via the Varia Collection. Tampers and distributors in the Tamper Collection, scales from Acaia or Normcore. The Machine Comparison helps with selection.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Bicocca differ from the R Cinquantotto?
Both are dual boilers from Rocket. The Bicocca has a saturated group head and the touch display directly on the group head with programmable shots. The R Cinquantotto uses the E61 group and an external control pod.
Is a direct water connection possible?
Yes, the Bicocca runs optionally with a water tank or direct water connection.
Can I see the machine before buying?
Yes, in our showrooms in Bern and Zurich. For this machine, we recommend local pickup. Delivery throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2–4 business days, financing via Heylight is possible.
Roastery Tip
A saturated group gently extracts subtle aromas. Our Cozy Chocolate becomes dense and chocolatey; if you're looking for complexity, try the Nutty Delight. This is our recommendation, one of many.
