Acaia Orbit Coffee Grinder Space Grey with Mazzer Burrs and Multi-Purpose Hopper - including all taxes and shipping
Weigh the beans, pour them into the hopper, and the grinder stops at the target weight: the Acaia Orbit in Space Grey with 64 mm Mazzer 33M flat burrs, built for single dosing and pairing with the Acaia Lunar.
The Orbit is Acaia's coffee grinder. A 200 W brushless DC motor drives the 64 mm steel flat burrs, and you set the speed between 600 and 1500 rpm in the Acaia app. Grind adjustment is stepless, from espresso to filter.
Speed changes the result. Our observation: higher rpm brings more body, lower rpm preserves delicate aromas. Grinders are like car engines, there is no objectively best one. Our opinion is one of many; what counts is what tastes good to you in the cup.
Paired with an Acaia Lunar, the Orbit grinds by weight. The multi-purpose hopper works as a single-dose hopper and as an adapter for larger bean hoppers up to 2 kg. Acaia specifies a tolerance of 10 µm for burr mount flatness and 20 µm for motor shaft concentricity.

Who it is for
For anyone who wants to single-dose, switch between espresso and filter and control the dose by weight. We also carry the Orbit with SSP Multi-Purpose burrs; you will find both versions in the Acaia collection. If you want to swap burrs later, you will find 64 mm sets at SSP Grinding Solutions. More grinders are in our coffee grinders overview.
To grind by weight, the Orbit needs a Lunar scale from the Acaia collection. For anyone who wants scales that are affordable and precise: Normcore. Dosing cups, tampers and WDT tools are affordable at Normcore and come with more weight and finish at Weber Workshops. Matching machines are in espresso machines.
Our advisor tool narrows down the choice of machine and grinder. If you want to test grinders side by side, book the espresso machine and grinder comparison in our Zurich showroom, an option, not a requirement. The free consultation is separate. Financing available.
Frequently asked questions
Which burrs does this Orbit have?
64 mm Mazzer 33M steel flat burrs. Acaia also offers the Orbit with SSP Multi-Purpose; we carry that version in the Acaia collection too.
Do I need an Acaia scale?
To grind by weight, yes: the Orbit connects to the Acaia Lunar via Bluetooth. Without a scale, you grind by time or manually.
Can I adjust the speed?
Yes, in the Acaia app between 600 and 1500 rpm. You can also create profiles there.
Can I see the grinder before buying?
Acaia is represented in our Zurich showroom (Hagenholzstrasse 50b). Not every model is set up at all times, so write to us beforehand at [email protected].
How do I clean the Orbit?
According to Acaia, only with a soft, damp cloth and without detergents. Do not immerse the grinder or its parts in water.
Tip from the roastery: For espresso on the Orbit we roast Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, full-bodied with chocolate and nuts, 1:2 as a starting point. If you want maximum body without acidity, go for Very Nutty. For the curious who switch between espresso and filter: Wild Peach, fruity and lively. That is our recommendation, one of many.
