Once you slide the scale onto the drip tray, it almost disappears underneath it – just 16 millimeters tall. The cup sits comfortably on top without crowding the space under the portafilter. One tap on the touch panel, the display lights up brightly, and as the shot runs, the weight counts up in 0.1-gram increments.

Small in size, clear-headed
Espresso extracts best when you work by weight ratio – classically in the range of 1:2, roughly twice as much espresso in the glass as coffee in the basket. The Precisa shows you this weight in real time, accurate to 0.1 grams, up to 2 kilograms. That turns the shot into a repeatable process instead of a guessing game.
It's operated with two touch panels – nothing more is needed. The timer runs alongside if you want it to, up to 9 minutes and 59 seconds, and stops automatically as soon as you lift the cup off the platform. The 300 mAh battery charges via Micro-USB; a full charge takes at most an hour, and the port is covered against splashes.
