Normcore Bottomless Portafilter Walnut & Titanium PVD (58 mm)
With no spout, the basket bottom is exposed: you see how the espresso emerges, first in drops, then as a calm stream. Add to that a handle made of American walnut and a body in black titanium PVD.
The Normcore bottomless portafilter in 58 mm, made of stainless steel with titanium PVD coating, supplied with an 18 g stainless steel filter basket. Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Normcore.
Features
Stainless steel with titanium PVD coating
A solid stainless steel body with titanium PVD coating for a harder surface and higher corrosion resistance. The low static charge helps less coffee stick after brewing.
Open bottom
The bottomless design shows the entire extraction. This lets you refine grind size and puck prep and achieve more consistent shots.
Walnut handle
The handle is made of solid American walnut, each with its own grain.
18 g precision basket included
A matching 18 g stainless steel filter basket is included, designed for even flow and consistent extraction.
Spurting and channelling are common with a bottomless portafilter and are not a defect of the portafilter. They show where grind size, distribution or tamp still have room for improvement. What matters is the taste in the cup and the brew ratio, with 1:2 as a starting point. Our opinion is one of many.

Roastery tip: With a bottomless portafilter you can see how evenly a coffee extracts. We recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, full-bodied with chocolate and nut. If you want maximum body without acidity, choose Very Nutty. For the curious: Wild Peach, fruity and lively. This is our recommendation, one of many.
