Ascaso Baby T One – Thermoblock Espresso Machine with PID
Just over two minutes after switching on, the group head is ready, the walnut wood feels warm under your hand, and the first shot runs from the matte black housing into the cup.
The Ascaso Baby T One is a compact single-boiler portafilter machine with thermoblock technology, built by Ascaso in Barcelona. It brings PID temperature control, a rotary pump and volumetric dosing into a slim housing with walnut details.
Multi-Element thermoblock with PID
Instead of a classic boiler, the Baby T One uses a Multi-Element thermoblock: fresh water is heated as it flows through, regulated by PID to around ±1.5 °C. That keeps the brew temperature steady and gets the machine ready fast. Brew and steam temperature can be programmed separately, and a pre-infusion gently prepares the puck. With espresso there's no right or wrong – grind size, dose and ratio are the variables you work with, and 1:2 is a good starting point.
Everyday equipment
A rotary pump delivers steady pressure and strong steam, and a 2.5-litre stainless steel service boiler stands ready for the steam. There's also a shot clock, volumetrically programmable buttons, a joystick for the steam, LED barista lights and a separate hot water outlet. The stainless steel used is designed for low metal migration per EN16889. Included are two portafilters and four baskets; control via the Ascaso app is optional.
