Hario V60 Drip Scale – Weight and Time at a Glance
The cup goes onto the scale, you tare to zero, and as the coffee brews, you watch grams and seconds side by side – exactly the two values that make a pour repeatable.
The V60 Drip Scale measures weight and extraction time at the same time, making it built for pour-over, AeroPress or Chemex. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.
Why Weight and Time Together
When brewing, what counts is the ratio of coffee to water, not a rough guess. A scale with a timer shows you both at once: how much water is already in the filter and how long the extraction has been running. That's what turns an occasionally good coffee into a repeatable one. The raised, heat-resistant weighing platform protects the electronics from the heat of the kettle and dripper – a detail where cheaper scales often fall short.

Who It's For
For everyone who wants to make pour-over repeatable without reaching straight for an app-connected scale. If you'd rather have a rechargeable battery instead of batteries and a lit display, take a look at the Metal Drip Scale with USB battery from the Hario Collection – the app, flow-rate display and Bluetooth are offered by the Acaia Collection.
What Goes With It
A V60 dripper like the V60 NEO 02, a gooseneck kettle and filter paper from the Hario Collection as well as a grinder from the hand grinders. Beans like Nutty Delight or the fruity Wild Peach.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the scale also measure time?
Yes, it displays weight and extraction time at the same time – ideal for pour-over and other filter methods.
How accurate is the Drip Scale?
0.1 g up to 200 g, 0.5 g up to 500 g, and 1 g up to the maximum load of 2 kg.
What powers it?
With two AAA batteries. If you'd rather charge via USB, choose the Metal Drip Scale.
Roastery Tip
A good starting point for pour-over is a ratio of around 1:15 to 1:17 – for example, 15 g of coffee to 250 ml of water. With a scale and timer, you hit that mark every morning again. Beautifully rounded with Nutty Delight. That's our recommendation, one of many.
