Explore more →The ring beneath the bean hopper turns in small, noticeable steps – finer, coarser, finer. What feels like a simple dial is, inside the Pico, a small gear that transfers this movement to the conical burrs. Every adjustment, every day, every year in use runs through exactly this component.
Over time, play can develop here. The ring still turns, but the adjustment no longer responds quite as directly as on day one – the felt resistance softens, precision fades. A new adjusting gear brings the mechanism right back on point.
The Pico is deliberately built with stepless adjustment that still gives a noticeable "step" feel when you turn it – you feel the clicks without the adjustment actually being notched. That feeling is created mechanically, right at the adjusting gear. If the gear is worn, exactly this feedback changes during dial-in – and with it, how reliably you find your way back to your espresso grind size.

A grinder that once again mills precisely on point deserves a coffee with substance too. Our main recommendation: Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, dense, aromatic, full-bodied. For maximum body with virtually no acidity: Very Nutty. For anyone wanting to discover a fruity experience: Wild Peach, lively and always a discovery. Our recommendation from the roastery, one of many.
