Your grind setting stays where you turn it
The Swift grinds, doses and tamps in one go – and the grind setting has to be right. The rotary knob is the control used to change the setting. It should click into place noticeably and hold its position, even while the motor is running underneath.
If the mount is worn, the knob slips or the setting drifts during operation. The espresso then tastes different in the evening than in the morning, without anyone having changed anything. Part number 5.338.R refers to the rotary knob for the grind adjustment.
When it's due
- The knob slips without changing the grind setting.
- The setting drifts during operation.
- You can no longer feel the detent.
- The plastic is cracked or the marking is illegible.

Who it's for
For businesses with a Swift whose grind setting no longer holds reliably, and for service technicians who order the knob along with a grinder service.
Goes well with
From our workshop
In Bern and Zurich, we note the current grind position of every grinder on a strip of tape on the housing. If the setting drifts, you see it immediately instead of only tasting it. This is our own routine, not a manufacturer requirement. We usually calibrate with Nutty Delight; you'll find more beans under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we'll check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
