Mahlkönig Sync Scale – the scale for Grind-by-Sync
The scale sits under the cup, measures the weight and time of the shot and sends the measured time to the grinder. The grinder adjusts the grind size for the next shot on its own.
The Sync Scale is the measuring element in the Grind-by-Sync system from Mahlkönig. It transmits the measured time via Wi-Fi through the Mahlkönig Cloud to the grinder. The grinder compares the shot with the stored recipe and adjusts the burr gap automatically. Because the scale measures what ends up in the cup, this works with any espresso machine.
No two shots are the same: bean, humidity and how you feel that day change daily. The Sync Scale compensates for part of this automatically. We brew espresso by weight, not by time. We grind fine, start at 14.5 grams and work our way up from there, usually to 17 grams, at a ratio below 1:2. What counts is what you taste. Our opinion is one of many.

Grind-by-Sync with any espresso machine
The Sync Scale connects via Wi-Fi to a Grind-by-Sync grinder. This lets you use the Sync system even with an espresso machine that is not Sync-capable itself. The scale measures the shot time, and the grinder adjusts the grind size accordingly. All grinding and shot data end up in the Mahlkönig Sync App.

Mahlkönig Sync App
With the mobile app (iOS, Android) you pair grinder and scale. It installs software updates automatically and shows key figures on usage, consumption and maintenance of the grinder.
Desktop App
The Desktop App shows grinding and shot events, operating data and consumption trends in a dashboard. There you can also create recipes and send them to individual grinders. New recipes are confirmed on the grinder.

Who it is made for
For everyone with a Mahlkönig E64 WS or a Grind-by-Sync grinder (E65W, E80W, E65T, E80T GbS) who no longer wants to adjust the grind size by hand.
