The back panel of your R58 – a machine worth showing off from behind, too
In many kitchens, the R58 stands freely in the room or on an island. Then the back panel is just as visible as the front – and it is the side that takes the most punishment: it gets pushed against the wall when the machine is moved, scratched when the water supply is connected and dented in transport.
A new back panel is one of the few repairs you can see immediately. It does no work inside the machine and holds no pressure – it alone determines how the machine looks.

Important for installation
Behind the back panel are the boiler, pipes and live components. Before anyone loosens a single screw, the machine must be disconnected from the mains and allowed to cool down completely. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions here – anyone who removes the back panel is standing right in front of the electrics.

What goes with it
For the R58 we carry, among other things, the complete steam wand, the two-part foot, the drip tray grid and the gasket for the steam valve and water tap. Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
When removing the back panel, we always lay a cloth on the counter and put the screws in a bowl, sorted by position. Sounds pedantic – but on an R58 not all screws are the same length, and one that is too long in the wrong place hits things it should not hit. That is our workshop routine, not a manufacturer specification. For dialling in afterwards we use Nutty Delight, for chocolatey notes Cozy Chocolate and for body Very Nutty. All roasts under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

It is listed for the R58. We carry separate items for the R60 and the Cinquantotto. If in doubt, send us the serial number.
