Portafilter Handle Walnut
A walnut handle that replaces the existing handle of your portafilter, available with M10 or M12 thread. Order online, click & collect in Bern and Zurich.
You receive a single handle with threaded pin, without portafilter. It screws into the portafilter head where the old handle used to be. M10 and M12 are not interchangeable, so check the thread of your current handle before ordering.
Walnut is a natural material: grain, colour and small inclusions differ slightly from handle to handle. The handle does not change the espresso, but it does change how the machine feels and looks. Wood or plastic is a matter of taste. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it is for
For anyone whose portafilter handle is worn or who wants a wooden handle on their portafilter. More spare parts and tools are in Barista Equipment, wooden handle sets from a German workshop in the Wiedemann collection.
Around the portafilter: for anyone who wants to tamp affordably and precisely, there are tampers from Normcore. If you want more weight and finish, you will find them at Weber Workshops. Scales work the same way: Normcore compact and reliable, Acaia with app and flow-rate display.

Frequently asked questions
Does the handle fit my portafilter?
Yes, if your portafilter has an M10 or M12 handle thread. Choose the matching variant when ordering. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your portafilter before ordering at [email protected].
How do I know whether I need M10 or M12?
Unscrew the old handle and measure the diameter of the threaded pin: around 10 mm means M10, around 12 mm means M12.
What is included?
One walnut portafilter handle with threaded pin. Portafilter, basket and spout are not included.
Does the handle change the espresso?
No. The handle only replaces the grip. Brew group, temperature and extraction stay unchanged.
Tip from the roastery: We weigh every shot and start at 1:2, around 18 g of ground coffee to 36 g of espresso. In the portafilter we like brewing Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight best, dense and full-bodied with notes of chocolate and nuts. For maximum body without acidity we go for Very Nutty. The full range is in our coffee beans. This is our recommendation, one of many.
