Hario Stick Bottle 350 ml – your coffee stays warm, your bag stays slim
You unscrew the lid, pour in your freshly brewed cappuccino, flat white, coffee or filter coffee, and screw it back on until the seal clicks into place. The bottle disappears upright into the side pocket of your backpack, and two hours later, on a bench at the edge of the forest, it's still steaming when you open it. Whether you call it an insulated bottle, a thermal mug or a to-go cup: the point is the same – keeping your coffee or tea warm or cold on the go.
The Stick Bottle is built with double-wall insulation: two layers of stainless steel with an insulating gap in between. Hario states that hot drinks stay above 50 degrees Celsius after six hours, and cold drinks stay below 14 degrees Celsius after six hours. The outer wall stays pleasant to hold.
Slim by design, not bulky
66 × 66 × 165 millimetres – that's the entire footprint. The bottle stands on a coffee coaster, fits next to your laptop in its sleeve, and doesn't tip over in a cup holder. The name says it all: a stick, not a thermos flask.
Unscrew the lid, and drink straight from it
The lid unscrews to reveal the opening with its plastic pour spout, which seals tightly when screwed back on. You drink directly from the bottle, with no extra part and no flip mechanism. Hario specifically lists freshly brewed pour-over coffee, espresso shots, tea, or simply hot water for brewing outdoors as intended uses.
Two colours: Black and Rose Gold
Black has a matte black body with a brushed stainless-steel lid and a white Hario logo. Rose Gold has a light, warm beige body, with the lid and logo shimmering in rose gold. Technically, both are identical – same construction, same dimensions, same insulation performance.
Cleaning
The body is made of stainless steel with an acrylic resin coating, the lid of stainless steel and polypropylene, and the seal of silicone rubber. Based on our experience with double-walled bottles, we recommend washing it by hand: warm water, a drop of washing-up liquid, a slim bottle brush, and taking the seal out now and then to rinse it separately. That's our experience from daily café life, not a manufacturer specification.

Tip from our café
Rinse the bottle briefly with boiling water before filling it and let it sit for a minute. Otherwise, the cold stainless steel noticeably draws heat out of the coffee as you pour it in – preheating keeps it at drinking temperature noticeably longer. That's our experience from the counter in Bern, not a lab measurement.

How close you get to these values in everyday use depends on how hot you fill it and how often you open the bottle in between.
Does the bottle fit in a handbag or the side pocket of a backpack?
The Stick Bottle measures 66 × 66 × 165 millimetres, making it slim and upright rather than bulky. It fits into the usual side pockets of backpacks, laptop sleeves, and most cup holders.
Can I brew a pour-over directly into the bottle?
