The cover that closes off the grinding area of your AllGround Sense again
The portafilter cover sits around the holder you slide the portafilter into. It guides the portafilter into the right position and covers the edges behind it. Every insertion, every knock, every cleaning pass goes over this part – it is the most frequently touched plastic part of the whole grinder.
That is how it looks after a few years: rubbed dull, pale at the edges, cracked in the worst case. The portafilter then no longer sits cleanly, ground coffee settles in the gap and falls beside it the next time you grind. The cover is replaced as a complete unit, part number 900001719/R, black version.
When it's time
Time for a new cover if:
- the portafilter no longer sits cleanly or tilts to the side,
- ground coffee collects in a gap that wasn't there before,
- the surface is scratched, dull or faded at the edges,
- a crack is visible or a piece is missing.

For cafés where the grinder is in full view of guests, and for anyone who wants to keep their AllGround Sense longer than a worn cover still looks good. As the cover is screwed into the front, we recommend having it fitted by a professional – or you can bring the grinder to one of our showrooms.

At every service we brush the cover out dry instead of wiping it wet. Moisture in the gap binds ground coffee into a layer that later only comes off with a screwdriver – and that is exactly what scratches the covers. This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. For dialling in afterwards we like to grind Nutty Delight, for sweeter cups Cozy Chocolate and for strong espressos Very Nutty. Everything under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we'll check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
