White is the most honest colour on an espresso machine: it shows everything. The cover above the brew group of the Linea Micra sits exactly where water splashes up during rinsing and where a little ground coffee is left behind when the portafilter is inserted.
Over time, this builds up. Coffee oils soak into the surface and turn brownish, limescale from the rinse water dries on as a grey film, and a portafilter handle that was once inserted too briskly leaves a mark that stands out especially clearly on white. At some point, no amount of cleaning helps.
Replace the cover when the surface is permanently yellowed or stained and can no longer be brightened even with gentle cleaning. When it is scratched or worn through at an edge. When a spot has chipped off. When the cover has a dent or a fastening has torn out. And when you want to change the colour of your Micra – white, chrome and black are three separate parts.

In chrome it is the Brew group cover Linea Micra chrome, in black the Brew group cover Linea Micra black. The Housing base for Linea Micra and the Logo white Linea Micra go with the rest of the housing. From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer's specification: on white housing parts, we wipe away coffee splashes immediately, not in the evening. Coffee oil soaks into the surface while warm, and once it is in, you cannot get it out without aggressive cleaners – and aggressive cleaners cost the shine. Two seconds with a damp cloth after each round of shots saves a new part later. Then the test shot: on the Micra we like to use Nutty Delight, more chocolatey with Cozy Chocolate, bold with Very Nutty. Everything under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or send us a quick message and we will check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
C.1.661.62. Chrome has C.1.661, black its own number.
No. The cover in RAL 9006 has its own part number and is a different part.
White surfaces absorb coffee oil when it soaks in warm. If you wipe away splashes quickly, you will enjoy it for a long time – it cannot be avoided completely.
It is an external housing part. Switch the machine off beforehand, disconnect it from the mains and let it cool down – underneath sits the hot brew group.
Yes. In Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Let us know beforehand and we will have it ready for you.
