A three-group KB90 usually stands where things get serious: station bars, canteens, roasteries running non-stop. The housing of a machine like this works along with it for years, and the back panel is the sheet of metal that most often has to come off and go back on during servicing.
At some point a screw point has torn out, an edge has warped or there's a dent that can no longer be straightened. Then you replace that one panel and nothing more. Part number C1.423.3.GR, chrome version.
The panel no longer closes flush, sticks out at one corner or is slightly warped across its width – on a three-group machine this is particularly noticeable because the surface is large. The chrome layer shows rust spots or worn areas. A screw hole no longer holds. Or the machine has been through a move.

For businesses with a three-group KB90 where the machine stands free and is visible from behind. For service partners restoring a machine after a change of location. And for anyone who needs exactly this one large panel.
For two groups, we carry the same panel in chrome and in red. The portafilter holder kit version 2.0 and the complete piston for the group head belong to the same machine. All parts of this series: La Marzocco KB90 spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer requirement: we fit large panels with two people. One person holds, the other loosely starts all the screws, and only then are they tightened crosswise. With a three-group back panel, even slight tension is enough for the panel to no longer sit flush across its full width. Afterwards a few shots as a check, for us usually with Nutty Delight. For something more chocolatey, try Cozy Chocolate, for something stronger Very Nutty. Everything else under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
We currently have no picture of this item, and we would rather show no image at all than the wrong panel. Write to us and we will send you the dimensional drawing from the service documentation.
No. C1.423.3.GR is the three-group version. For two groups, the chrome and the red version are available as separate items.
That's how it appears in our documents, and we adopt it unchanged instead of quietly correcting it. What is meant is item C.1.423 in the three-group chrome version.
The item description doesn't mention one, so we don't claim one either. If in doubt, send us a photo of your machine.
Yes. Drop by in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring the old part with you and we will compare it together.
