On the GS3, a chrome-plated screw holds the side panel – visible, at eye level, right next to the surface you touch every day when cleaning. That is why it ages faster than a screw inside the machine: cleaning agents, milk, coffee oils and always using the same tool take their toll.
This item is the screw for the standard side panel, number A.2.013. The GS3 with glass panel needs a different one, namely A.2.025 – the two are not interchangeable.
The screw head is stripped or rounded off. The chrome layer has rust spots or has chipped at the edge. The thread no longer grips cleanly. Or a screw went missing during the last service, and since then the panel has only been held by the other points.

For GS3 owners who keep their machine well looked after down to the last detail, and for technicians who replace all visible screws at the same time during an overhaul. A dull screw between three shiny ones can be seen from every seat – this part is the cheapest way to fix that.
For the glass version, there is the chrome screw A.2.025 – a separate item. Also on the panel are the brass nut M8 × 3 and the cover cap D13 for hex socket screws M8. For the housing in general: the Phillips screw M4 × 8. All parts for this machine: La Marzocco GS3 spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer specification: on visible chrome screws, we always use the largest bit that fits and press firmly along the axis when loosening. A stripped head almost never happens when tightening, but when loosening with a bit that is one size too small. Afterwards, a few shots as a check, usually with the Nutty Delight. More chocolatey with the Cozy Chocolate, stronger with the Very Nutty. Everything else under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Check what your side panel is made of. For the standard panel, it's A.2.013, i.e. this one. For the glass panel, it's A.2.025. If in doubt, send us a photo.
One screw is supplied. Count on your machine how many screws hold the panel – we'll be happy to put the whole set together for you.
We have no information on this, and we don't make any up. On request, we can ask the manufacturer for the values.
It is a chrome-plated visible part from the original production, not a standard part from a DIY store. If you fit an ordinary screw, you'll see the difference on the machine straight away.
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there. Bring the old screw with you and we'll compare them together.
