Steam pipes look like a piece of metal you could bend yourself. You couldn't. Every curve is placed so that the pipe sits free of tension between the boiler and the connection and the fittings at both ends meet squarely. Even a few degrees of deviation put the gasket under permanent strain – and then it drips after tightening anyway.
This item is the steam pipe for the right side, part number M27NI07734. It is purely a line component: no valve, no electrics, no handle. You replace it when it is leaking, deformed, cracked or has been bent during a repair.
Typical signs are moisture or limescale streaks at one of the two fittings, a pipe that can no longer be fitted without tension after loosening, a visible dent or kink after a service visit, and verdigris or corrosion on the pipe body. If a new gasket at the same spot starts leaking again after a short time, it is almost always the warped pipe, not the gasket.

The pipe carries steam under pressure. Before doing anything, unplug the machine, let it cool down completely and release the boiler pressure. We deliberately don't give step-by-step instructions here: steam lines need to be tightened in the right order and to the right torque, otherwise the pipe warps during tightening in exactly the way you wanted to avoid. We're happy to do it for you in Bern or Zurich.
For workshops and service technicians. For home users, this is rarely the first part to replace – if steam is escaping somewhere, the gasket and fittings are the more common causes. Write to us about what you're seeing and we'll narrow it down together before you order the pipe.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
We always place a new pipe loosely first and tighten both fittings only hand-tight before applying any force. If it still sits free of tension, the position is right – if not, you notice it now and not only when you first draw steam. Our routine, not a manufacturer's specification. We like to pull the test shot afterwards with Nutty Delight or Cozy Chocolate, and for plenty of body with Very Nutty. More in our coffee bean selection.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test-fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
That is not documented in the records. We don't claim any assignment – send us your machine's serial number and we'll check the fit.
This item is explicitly the right side. Whether a left-hand counterpart is available, and under which number, is not stated in the records. Ask us and we'll find out.
Length, diameter and material are not specified. The safest way is to compare it with the old part using the part number M27NI07734.
No, the scope of delivery follows the manufacturer's specification for the number and does not list any gaskets. Plan for them when servicing.
Yes. We're in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring the old pipe along and we'll lay them side by side.
Unsure about the fit? Send your machine's serial number to [email protected]. We deliver across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2-4 working days.
You order directly through our online shop. If you have questions, we're happy to help — online or in person — with experience from our roastery, cafés and showrooms.
